Hi Friend,
You wanna know about me?
OK, here we go!
My name is Frida, and I’m the founder of the Thoughts Above Blog. I started this blog few years ago, after realizing how passionate I am about helping people improve their lives and get to wherever they ever want to be. (dream life)
I began Thoughts Above because I wanted to provide young women with specific, practical solutions on how they can improve themselves and live a better life.
My mission is to provide you with a realistic guide on how you can live a better life by becoming more productive and a get-it-done kind of person.
This will help you achieve all of your goals in every aspect of your life, whether it be personal or professional.
Now, let’s learn a little bit about me.
You may be thinking: “So, if you help other people live ideal lives, are you perfect yourself?”.
Let me get real with you here for a moment!
My personal growth in life hasn’t been a walk in the park every step of the way. I’ve really struggled in the past to improve my life and become a happier, more productive person. At times, I didn’t even know where to start.
For all of us, there comes a time in life when you feel things aren’t going the way you want them to go. Maybe something is missing and you want to live a better life or become a better person.
You may even feel overwhelmed since you don’t know exactly what to do differently to make a positive change and get where you want to be.
I struggled with most with time management. I was always late to work, had the last-minute syndrome, was rushing to catch up with deadlines, and was even late for parties.
I struggled with procrastination. I told myself that I would do everything a little bit later–you know how comforting this can feel (and so addictive!),
I was constantly distracted. Phew, I still fight this to this day–phones, people, notifications, social media–I find myself focusing on these things instead of what I really need to be doing. This is a major productivity killer in modern society.
Anyway,
I often felt frustrated and wondered why life seemed so unfair.
What’s even worse is that I was experiencing these problems constantly, on a daily basis. I didn’t realize that I myself was the cause and that everything was going wrong because of my approach to things.
All I knew was that I was always running out of time, others just seemed sharper than me, I was overworked–the list goes on.
You know how this goes–as humans, we look for places to put blame when things don’t go our way.
Well, after days of thinking and reflecting, I decided that enough was enough. I had to improve my situation if I had any hope of living a better life.
The first few months of transition things were challenging as I tried to figure out what works, what doesn’t, and what would get me to where I wanted the quickest.
I was very focused on becoming the woman I wanted to be, but I got more focused on the destination than the journey.
“I wanted to become a better me”,
That meant that I would go through a few lows here and there,
And because I knew where I wanted to be, the life I desired to have, nothing would have stopped me.
Fast forward to today, and my life is completely different.
I’m a self-improvement expert and have helped thousands of people improve their lives through my blog and my products.
I get emails every day from people thanking me for making an impact on their lives. That’s what melts my heart–when even just one person improves her life with my help. I love seeing people happy!
With all that being said, here’s what I want you to know:
It’s safe to say that I learned a lot during my journey. So, I would now like to share some of the tips that truly made the biggest impact on my self-improvement journey with you.
It’s super important to invest in your self-improvement journey.
I tried to do it all on my own, but the growth was slow. When I started investing in ebooks and personal growth online courses, they made a big impact on my life.
* You can gain a lot from someone who has experience in the areas where you seek improvement.
* You don’t have to spend all of your time googling various topics and constantly trying to connect the dots of your life. Instead, invest in a personal development course or ebook that has the exact information that you need.
When you want to improve your life, start with the basics:
- Improve your Productivity
- Improve your habits
- Create a positive mindset
- Learn the art of achieving your small daily goals
These four areas are everything, and productivity is the first thing to learn.
You must learn how to get things done every single day. If you don’t get any of the things done that you said you would, it’s hard to see the point of your goals.
So, I discovered strategies for getting things done, and these will be the first steps in achieving the life you want.
Habits.
Practically everything you do is a habit. We have good habits and bad habits and understating how habits work will help you overcome the bad habits that drag you down.
Creating the right mindset
Having the right mindset will help you get where you want quickly because no one can stop the way you think. Everything begins inside of your mind, and with the right mindset, you’ll succeed in anything.
Learning the art of actually achieving your small daily goals
I realized how common it is for people to be very good at setting goals but terrible at actually achieving them. It’s crazy, right?
You set goals, but when it comes time to actually achieve them, nothing goes the way you wanted it to. This is something countless people struggle with, but knowing how to overcome it can truly transform your life.
Finally, I learned that
it’s about progress, not perfection.
There’s a lot of pressure for millennials in the world today. Comparing yourself to others has become a regular and accepted thing.
But, we tend to forget that we’re all different, we’re going in different directions, and we all have different definitions for success.
So, let go of comparisons and just be you! Own your journey–it might be slower than someone else’s, but you know what you’re doing and where you’re headed, which is all that matters.
If you truly want to improve your life, focus on progress, not perfection.
I created this Brilliant Course called Go Get it Done: A Guide for Anyone Struggling with How to Get Things Done.
It comes from my own experiences and 100 hours of research that helped me quickly improve my life and become a happier, more productive person.
